Alley Cafe in Pinole

Alley Cafe had the best linguicia !!! All good is wonderful. This is also where my friends and I eat after we pay at Antlers the night before all night.

UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP!!!! decided to go to the alley cafe after not having been in some time. Food has improved a lot. Seriously give this place a try.

Tried this spot in the past with a friend and I am addicted since then. I love the great character and flavorful dishes and drinks. They never disappoint.

This cafe has to be one of the best places I've ever eaten. not only was the food amazing but the people were hands down the nicest warm folks you could meet. Be prepared and bring your big boy pants if you plan on eating an omelet lol :)

Food is good. But please people stop ordering the strawberry waffles. Cause they always seem to be out now. Thats the reason to go here. It used to be the monster pancakes but they shrank a little. But the waffels are amazing

Friendly service at this small town diner. Decent food and coffee, good prices and large selection of breakfast options. It got busy at 10:30 on a Saturday morning.

Came here because this was a local spot growing up.I got the french toast with strawberries (Special of the Day)and a side of eggs overmedium. -The eggs were good, I mean how could you go wrong?-Service was amazing, that's probably why this place didn't get a 2-star rating.-We didn't wait long to be seated, it was not busy.-Very clean establishment, I even saw a lady (owner?) mopping and sweeping throughout the area-The reason why this place does not get 4 stars or above is that the french toast tasted BASIC. The strawberries were not fresh and overlyglazed in whatever high fructose corn syrup sauce they use for it. I mean french toast isn't that difficult to make, or even spruce up, because I've had some bomb ass french toast before at certain locations.Overall: If you're looking for a basic breakfast, super simple and nothing out of the ordinary. This is your spot. This is why it gets 3 stars. When Alley Cafe gets a WOW or AHA! factor to their meals I'll bump it up.

Nice little down-home style cafe that serves breakfast and lunch. A staple of Old Town Pinole.

Great service excellent pancakes ,hash browns, great service , and interesting scenery

My food was a little bit cold when the waitress brought it to me. I don't like eating cold hash browns. My omelette was not hot. My English Muffin was thin as a cracker. It was also a little bit burnt.I don't know what happened to this place. I used to love eating there. After today, I don't think I can go back.

My first time here and I'd say that the Eggs Benetic are ok but not great. I would recommend it and hopefully give it another try with something different next time. It's a cozy place with great service. Our waitress was very pleasant and nice.

Great food.great service.proportion has shrank on the hash browns and only 1 syrup for my 2 giant, fluffy, wonderful pancakes... Had to use my own syrup ir it woulda been dry. Other than that 2 thumbs up for early morning goodness

Would recomend! Great food.. pretty fast.. apparently it's under new ownership. Portions are smaller but the service is quicker. I ordered the "Giant" but couldn't eat all of it anyway.. I couldn't imagine larger portions. Only reason 4 star is because I don't like my scrabble eggs runny and they were..

Super FRIENDLY service, great coffee, eggs cooked TO order, generous omelettes, crispy hash browns = #DELICIOUS... & retro SF fans ambiance. Alley Café is the best breakfast place we've found in this area.

A great little gem of a restaurant tucked away in Pinole. I usually get a California Benedict and it’s Great! Their French toast is really good as well as the pancakes. Definitely recommend - it’s a favorite spot.

First time I've been here in over 20 years and it hasn't changed much. Good food and service. We'll be going back. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the waitress got my girlfriend's order wrong, but she made it right later.

It was 45 min before closing when we arrived and it was a slow day and they were closing early, but they let us in and food was great and this a great breakfast/lunch place. Nice and cozy place with a local atmosphere.

Diner food so nothing super special. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast..... what was great was the waiter who who worked alone on this Tuesday morning was great. I was killing time so lingered undisturbed. He even warmed up the coffee I brought in my own cup. If in the area again I'd go back.

Breakfasts are VERY good (my fave is the Italian Sausage Omelette). The egg dishes come with a generous portion of hash browns. Yum! Service is pleasant, but can be slow, so give yourself plenty of time. If you're in rush, come back when you're not in a hurry.
